This is a shout out to all our Kiwi and Pacific Island producers and wannabe video makers. KiwiTV is opening its doors, so to speak, to anyone who wants to promote and show their videos on KiwiTV. Put your video creations – short or long – in front of hundreds of thousands of Kiwis and Non Kiwis who visit our site regularly.
Here are our criteria for your consideration:
1. Your video/s must have a Kiwi/Polynesian flavour and it can be about anything you like. We will favour originality, however just being able to share with the Kiwi community abroad as well as those that still live in Aotearoa and The Pacific Islands, is what this promotion is all about.
2. All submissions for videos should be no longer than 10 minutes in duration. If you have a video or videos longer than 10 minutes then please email video@kiwitv.com.au for further assistance.
3. We ask that you consider the audience and the KiwiTV community when submitting your video. KiwiTV will not accept videos that contain violence, nudity, coarse language, or offensive or criminal behaviour. We also ask that you do not include, or consider carefully before including, any footage that was produced to the actual physical detriment of any person, animal object or environment.
4. In regards to copyright, it is a strict requirement that you own all footage, or that the owner has given you express permission to use the footage in this way, before you submit the video to KiwiTV. You must read our terms and conditions before attempting to upload.
UPLOADING YOUR VIDEOS
Step 1:
You need to be a member of KiwiTV. If you're not currently a member, simply go to the "SIGN UP" tab on the Homepage located next to "My Account" and sign up. Once you are a member of KiwiTV you can submit as many videos as you like, it’s that simple.
Step 2:
Read through the video specifications and requirements before clicking on the "UPLOAD MY VIDEO" link below.
Here are our Video Specs:
Format: Flash (.flv - Most Preferred), MPEG4 (mp4, m4v) & Quicktime (.mov)
Duration: No longer than 10mins
Preferred Aspect Ratio but not essential:
Video Resolution: 512*384
Frame Rate: 29.97fps
Bit Rate: 900kbps or lower
Step 3:
Once you have your video ready to go, click on the link provided below. Make sure you add your video name and as much detail about your video as you can, to assist our processing team with video tags and placement.
Step 4:
Select your video file and press the "SEND IT" button to upload your video.
Step 5:
Notification & Processing
Once you have finished your video upload you will be sent an automatic notification to state that KiwiTV has received your video and it is currently being processed. It can take up to 24 hours to process your video, depending on the number of videos being processed at any one time. If you do not receive a notification of your direct video link, please email us on video@kiwitv.com.au.
